Construction Outreach Trainers who do not successfully complete OSHA #502 Update Course for Construction Outreach Trainers prior to their expiration date, will need to begin the process again, completing a Prerequisite Verification Form and retaking the OSHA #500 Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for Construction. If you are already an Region X OSHA Outreach Trainer, bookmark this page as an essential tool for staying current on OSHA Training requirements. We create training materials, distribute training grants to nonprofit organizations, and provide training through authorized education centers. This change is included in the 2019 published revisions of the OSHA Outreach Training Program Requirementsand applicable sections of each Industry Procedures document, and became effective January 1, 2019. Individuals who complete OSHA Trainer courses are authorized to teach OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour classes in Construction, General Industry, Maritime, and 7.5-hr and 15-hr Disaster Site Worker. NOTICE: As part of its continuing effort to improve the Outreach Training Program, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has eliminated the authorized trainer “90-day grace period” described in Sections III.B.1.,2, and 4 of the OSHA Outreach Training Program Requirements. The OSHC REU 10 congratulates the new certified Safety Officers who successfully finished the Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) course for Safety. I n addition, each applicant for a trainer update must send complete and return the 502PrerequisiteForm. When registering for an update course, include a front and back copy of your current trainer card with the registration form.
